Write to Us

The address is [email protected]. There is no form and no account to create. Write from any email address and in plain words, and you will hear back by email.

The site is about the rules of blackjack games and what those rules do to the odds. Questions on that subject are welcome, whether you have found a mistake, read a rule differently, or want to know why a figure on one page differs from a figure on another. Two pages can show different house edges for the same game because they assume different rules, and an email is a good way to find out which rule set a number belongs to.

Reporting an Error

If a rule, a payout or a house edge looks wrong, tell us which page it is on and what you expected to see. A link to the page, or its title, is enough to find it. If you have a source for the rule, such as the rules of play published by a regulator or the rule card from a casino, name it or attach it. We check each report against the source documents listed on the sources page.

When a report turns out to be right, the page is corrected. The figure or the wording changes, and where the change affects a calculation, every page that uses that calculation changes with it, because the numbers on the site come from one set of rules and one calculation. The methodology page explains how the figures are worked out, so you can see which assumption a number rests on before you write.

Sometimes a report shows that two documents disagree. One regulator may let the dealer hit soft 17 while another has the dealer stand. In that case the page names both versions and says which one the figure uses, rather than picking one quietly.

Problems With a Table

The play-money tables run in your browser. If a table does not load, deals cards that break the rules shown on the felt, or settles a hand in a way that does not match the page, please tell us what happened. It helps to include:

  • the page and the game you were playing
  • the cards you and the dealer held, and the action you took
  • your browser and device, for example a phone or a laptop

A screenshot is welcome but not needed. The chips at the tables are play money, so no balance can be lost or recovered, but a table that settles a hand wrongly is a mistake we want to fix.

New or Changed Rules

Regulators revise their rules of play, and casinos change the games they deal. If you know of a newer version of a document we cite, or of a regulator text for a game that the site currently describes from a casino-published sheet, send us the link. Each source on the sources page shows the date we read it, which makes it easy to see whether a newer version exists.

If You Need Help With Gambling

If your question is about your own gambling, or about someone close to you, the responsible play page lists free, confidential helplines for six countries. They can help far more than we can. Complaints about a casino, an account or a payout go to the casino first and then to the regulator that licenses it. The regulator's own website explains how to raise a complaint.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the email address?

The address is [email protected]. Write from any email address. There is no form to fill in and no account to create, and every message is read by the people who write and check the pages.

What should I include when I report a mistake?

Name the page and the rule or figure that looks wrong, and say what you expected instead. If you have a source, such as a regulator's rules of play or a casino rule card, link it or attach it. That lets us check the point against the documents quickly.

Can I suggest a game the site does not cover yet?

Yes. Send the name of the game and, if you have one, a link to its published rules. Games with a regulator document behind them are the easiest to add, because every rule and figure on the site is taken from such a document.

Can you help with a dispute with a casino?

A dispute about an account, a bet or a payout goes to the casino first. If that does not settle it, the regulator that licenses the casino handles complaints, and its website explains how. The responsible play page lists helplines if gambling is causing problems.
